Its not as simple as just taking a pressure washer to the surface until its clean. A lot of detail goes into the planning stage.
A few thing we have to take into account:
Type of Surface - Depending on the surface we are working on and the professional grade equipment we use, too much pressure can easily damage the area and not enough wont clean effectively. Knowing what you're doing and getting the right balance is important.
Condition - The level of organic growth dictates the strength and type of solution that must be applied.
Type of Staining - This dictates the appropriate solutions for the task. Knowing what type of solution removes certain staining is key.
Drainage - Our machines pump's out up to 15 litre's of water per minute. Accessing the area to see where the excess water will go is vital.
Solution and Surface - Understanding what solution can be safely applied on what surface.
Each job has its own unique circumstances, but a general outline is as follows:
Clear out drains - Ensure the surrounding drains are free from blockages.
Sweep/Leaf blow the area - Remove any solid debris from the surface.
Pressure wash - Using our specialist equipment we remove any surface dirt (moss, algae, mildew, white lichen etc).
Softwash Solution - Kills off any current organic growth and eliminates the tough lichen (black spot) that doesn't come off with pressure.
Resand (Block Paving) - When your block paving was first laid, Kiln dry sand would have been brushed into the joints. This stops movement between the blocks. If not already pushed out by the weeds and moss, the cleaning process removes a large majority of it. So once dry, we apply fresh sand into the joints.
Clean up - Often overlooked we see this as just as important as the job itself. We want our customers to be able to walk out and not know we have been there (apart from their immaculate surface of course).
Aftercare - Inevitably organic growth will return. We offer advise to the customer whether that be DIY or offer a maintenance plan to keep that organic growth at bay.
The cleaning properties of pure water through a waterfed pole and backpack is our chosen method. Depending on the age of your solar panels the use of cleaning solutions may void your warranty so we choose not to use them. We prefer to clean from the ground, but if unable we assemble a tower to give your solar panels the best clean possible.
We use a backpack, 35ft waterfed pole and brush, with either a fixed or swiveled head this allows us to reach the most awkward spots on your property. Some solution may be applied for the more stubborn staining.
We use pure water through a waterfed pole. This allows the water droplets to dry and leave your windows with a spot free finish. Some cleaning solution may be applied for the more stubborn staining around your PVC frames and sills. We also include a freshen up of your front and back doors.
